Seeking Submissions: Perspectives 2017

The Center for Women and Gender at Utah State University is seeking art and literary submissions for use in the 2017 edition of their annual magazine, Perspectives. Perspectives is published both electronically and in print, and is available to faculty, students, donors and similar Centers throughout the United States and Canada.

Submissions may be of any kind, including but not limited to:

  • Photography
  • Painting (watercolor, acrylic, oils, etc.)
  • Sculpture (ceramics, etc.)
  • Cartooning
  • Drawing


Pieces selected will be used throughout the magazine and many works may be selected. Artists can submit a series. Submission themes should showcase inclusivity, activism and perspective. Artwork should be fresh and edgy.

EDGY: ADJ; DIFFERENT, THOUGHT-PROVOKING, BOLD, DARINGLY INNOVATIVE

Submissions must be received by the office via email to cwg@usu.edu or in-person at TSC 309 by February 17, 2017.

Included in each submission should be:

  • Submitter’s name, phone number, email and A number.
  • Submitter’s major and year.
  • A title and brief description of the piece.

The Center for Women and Gender is an academic entity which creates a professional and social climate focused on enhancing opportunities for women and men. The center encourages exploration of society’s norms and going beyond the boundaries. The center provides an intellectual home for those interested in exploring and addressing the challenges of juxtaposition and intersection: gender and ethnicity; gender and culture; gender and religion, etc.
